Introduction to your sport: I got introduced to the sport through school, from the sixth grade running 1500M and 3000m. I continued under school clubs until grade 9 where I started running under private clubs, where I started running 10 and 21km distances.
Career Achievements: Over the years I have achieved multiple achievements, starting with the Postnet 21km race in 2002 here I came in 2nd position. In 2004 I came in 2nd for the Postnet 42km race. At the Township to Township marathon I Was 9th overall. For the Nongoma Ultra I came in 5th position in 2014, and placed 1st for the Sani Stagger Marathon (42.2km). At last year’s Comrades Marathon I came 16th and this year, I completed a time of 6 hours and 12 minutes. I placed 2nd under the Cross country Champs qualifiers and will be representing KZN in Mpumalanga.

How do you spend your down time? I spend my downtime in the fields, herding sheep and cows, And spend time at church.

Importance of the EADP for you: The importance of EADP is immense in that it has helped me to do exercises that strengthen me. It has also given me knowledge about training and recovery. The doctors and Physiotherapists have helped greatly with injuries. The Futurelife that we receive is also helpful for my nutrition. Overall EADP has given me the confidence to approach the sport and races boldly and do well from a performance point of view.
