Introduction to your Sport: My parent’s first introduced me to swimming at the age of 3. At the time it was teaching me water safety. It was in primary School when my interest in swimming peaked as I was actively involved in my Primary school’s swimming squad. My first race was in Primary school where I won my first freestyle event which was where I realized I had talent. At the age of 12 I joined a swimming club which was where I perfected my stroke and I became more competitive in my swimming and I began competing in club galas. I enjoyed swimming and was most happy when I was in the water. I continued competing both at club level as well as at high school. My performance improved and I broke school records and was awarded at School for my excellence in the pool.
